One to One Sessions, With & Without Hypnotherapy
What Is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is the use of hypnosis within a therapeutic setting to support emotional, psychological, and behavioural change. It is a collaborative process—never something done to you, but rather with you. As your therapist, I guide your attention and focus, while you follow along with the suggestions that are tailor made for your experience.

Hypnosis is not a battle of wills. Change cannot be forced or imposed. Instead, you are gently invited to enter a state of inner absorption, where your mind is more receptive and able to make meaningful changes from within.
How Hypnotherapy Supports Change

Much of what sustains our problems exists outside our everyday awareness. Hypnosis allows us to focus attention inward, which can then lead to powerful insights and awareness of unconscious patterns. This awareness becomes a doorway to healing.
In sessions, we combine therapeutic dialogue, focused questioning, and guided hypnosis to explore and shift:

Unidentified beliefs underlying the issue

Thoughts, feelings, and behaviours maintaining the problem

Internal blocks to change and growth

When you allow yourself to fully engage in this process, your mind becomes open to transformation—often without conscious effort or struggle.

What to Expect in a Session
​
Sessions are responsive to your needs. You don’t spend the entire time in hypnosis. We begin with conversation, where we map out what’s happening for you and identify the most helpful path forward. Formal Hypnosis then takes place in the second half of the session; however, you may find that even before this, we move fluidly between guided trance and conscious dialogue.

While some styles of hypnotherapy use regression or probe into painful memories, I do not work this way. Research has shown that regression therapy can be distressing and unreliable. My approach is forward-focused: we may touch gently on the past to the extent it is necessary, but the emphasis is on resolving the issue you’re experiencing now and finding the path forward.

Hypnosis tends to be a deeply enjoyable, peaceful, and restorative state. When paired with effective therapeutic techniques, it can support remarkable shifts in how you feel, think, and move through life.

A Session Without Hypnosis
Sometimes, a client wishes to work with me without the hypnosis element involved and this is something I now offer. In these sessions, I provide you with insight about what it is you are and have been going through and I offer guidance on how you can best move forward. Although I am a certified Life Coach and Breathwork Facilitator, these sessions are much more than a ‘coaching’ session. Your session will be informed by years of therapeutic experience and technique and this will be heavily reflected in the work we do together. If this is the kind of session you would prefer, just let me know.

Session Structure​
Most of the work that I do with clients, takes place across a block of sessions so that all aspects of the problem can be tackled. The first session includes a brief assessment where we will take a proper look at what has been going on for you. This is the beginning of making sense of the experience you have had and understanding what has been happening.
Subsequent sessions are then targeted at specific components of how the issue is impacting on you. A block of sessions will often range from three to six, depending on the experience and needs of the client. The more challenging, distressing or entrenched the issue then the greater likelihood that a number of sessions will be required in order to work through the difficulties this has caused.
For those clients who are unable to commit to a block of sessions or who wish to get some insight to understanding, there is the option of a one-off stand alone session. Further details available upon request.
No two clients are the same and no two sets of problems are the same. Your hypnotherapy journey with me is tailored completely to the needs that you have at this time.
I do not hold clients to a contract or require a block booking fee, so the client is free to bring sessions to an end once they feel they are ready.
Standard ongoing hypnotherapy sessions last between 75 - 90 minutes. All sessions take place via Zoom.

The Value of Your MP3 Hypnosis Recording
Each session includes a follow up MP3 recording of your hypnosis experience, featuring carefully chosen music to deepen relaxation and integration.
These recordings are not generic—they are created specifically for you, based on what emerges in our session.

Hypnotherapy sessions take place as a block of sessions usually ranging from 3 to 6 sessions depending on the issue and needs of the client.

A minimum of three sessions is advised in order to make significant and lasting progress.​

All payment is required in advance of the therapy session.
